Increasing many non-award bearing educational centres are `franchising in` awards from other institutions. While `franchising in` is a cost effective means of providing a good quality degree to students, the reality is that the centre in question must comply fully with the award bearing institution’s policies, procedures and quality assurance structures both before and after the validation process.
