Oxford Educational Dynamics; Validation Services, Managing and Validating Centres that Franchise in Awards from other Providers:
Our interaction with validating institutions has to date been based on a long and fruitful relationship with the University of Wales, where OED took the lead in validating centres offering University of Wales’ business degrees in London. These were: Rayat London College, Kaplan Holborn College and the London School of Business and Finance (LSBF). In the case of Rayat London College, OED took on the role of running what was a failing and financially insecure institution. The last Wales’ moderator’s report for Rayat London College noted “the success of the programme (indeed the entire centre) continues to be in the hands of a very small, stable team from OED.” Neelem Shaida the Managing and Academic Director of Rayat London College also noted, “Over the past three years OED’s help has been invaluable, first in creating a stable, well structured academic environment and second by leading us through both inspections and validations by our validating partners.”
The recent validation of the centre to offer the UOW BABS was recognised as the most efficient validations experienced by the validation panel. In 2009, Rayat London College has a student body of some 300 students on the Wales MBA.
The team also has experience of successful validation of an on-line MBA and BABS award at Holborn College, Flexible Learning Department. The validation panel commented that “The Panel was very impressed with the enthusiastic and committed Head of Flexible Learning and Head of Business (Rachel Sumner) and had great confidence in their ability to deliver the degree schemes as described.”
Finally OED wrote the entire validation documentation for the LSBF Wales’ MBA. Dr. Dorota Joanna Bourne, the MBA Programme Director at LSBF speaks about her experience of working with OED.
“The experience of working with the Eurasia Consortium on the MBA programme validation for the London School of Business and Finance was absolutely fantastic. The expertise and prior experience that Rachel and Stuart have made the process smooth and easy from the start. We are delighted with the quality of your work, full professionalism as well as the ability to deliver such high quality product to a very short deadline. Thank you very much for your help! We appreciate your advice and suggestions and we are hoping to work with you on our future validations for the LSBF.”
As well as OED’s success in securing validation the team also have several years experience in the post-validation phase: including programme management, quality assurance and the development of a sustainable long term academic strategy.
As a consequence of the combined experience and expertise of the OED team we have designed a package of services for international and UK centres. Our team has extensive experience in the field of Business Education combined with significant international exposure which has resulted in validation and accreditation success for all our existing clients.
